Senate HELP Committee Advances Labor Reform Package Backed by AFFT
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Americans for Fair Treatment (AFFT) today commended the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee, led by Chair Bill Cassidy (R-LA), for introducing a package of labor bills that put worker freedom, fairness, and transparency at the center of U.S. labor policy.
The legislative package includes several reforms designed to strengthen workers’ rights and modernize outdated labor laws — including the Worker RESULTS Act, the Union Members Right to Know Act, the NLRB Stability Act, the Fairness in Filings Act, and the Protection on the Picket Line Act. Together, these measures aim to expand worker choice, ensure consistent enforcement of the law, and protect employees from coercive or discriminatory practices.
Chip Rogers, CEO of Americans for Fair Treatment, issued the following statement:
“The Senate HELP Committee’s labor package marks a long-overdue step toward restoring balance and fairness in the workplace. For too long, workers have been caught between politics and bureaucracy — and these reforms rightly put their rights first. By protecting workers from being forced to fund political causes they don’t support, increasing transparency, and ensuring the law is applied consistently, this legislation empowers every American to make their own choices about union representation and workplace advocacy.”“We applaud Chairman Cassidy and members of the Committee for advancing a modern, pro-worker agenda that recognizes the dignity of individual choice. Americans for Fair Treatment will continue standing with public employees and private-sector workers alike to make sure their voices are heard and their freedoms are protected.”
AFFT will continue to monitor the progress of these bills and advocate for policies that strengthen workers’ rights and promote accountability in labor relations.
